We are a community based Boxing Club that welcomes both Male and Female participants from   9 years old up to  40 years old, We are predominately a competetive Boxing Club but there are also classes available for members who only wish to improve their general fitness through Non Contact Boxing training, (follow the link above).
Although Participants cannot box competitively until their 11th birthday, they can take part in a limited number of controlled "skills bouts" from the age of 10 years old up to the age of 16. All Boxers must retire from Amateur Boxing once they reach the age of 40.
All Training equipment is supplied by the club with the exception of handwraps and gumshields which can be purchased from the Gym stores.
Members will be expected to wear their own sports shoes and clothing when training.
The fees for training are currently £4 per week for juniors aged up to 17, and £5 per week covering all relevant sessions, with no reduction for missed classes during that week, (check the relevant training times on the above link). An annual membership fee of £10 will be payable after a 1 month trial period.
The Club is also hoping to introduce weekly boxing training sessions  for disabled people of both sexes, and different age groups, as soon as we receive the guidelines from England Boxing, our National governing Body------Watch This Space!!

12 year old Tommy Maggs won the England National Schools Title in the Minors Division over this week-end.
Exceedingly well done Tommy, we are very confident that this is the first of many more National titles to come.
Jack Higgins-Burnett, also 12 years of age, was entered in the Bristol Cup this week-end in only his second bout.
He did very well against much more experienced opponents.
Jack has a rare natural talent, and we are very excited for his future with the Club.
We were well represented on the last show of the season at Gosport, by Joe Taylor,Bobby Graham, Harvey Newton, and Jack Higgins-Burnette.

THE CLUB IS NOW IN RECESS FOR THE END OF SEASON BREAK, AND WILL REOPEN FOR USUAL TRAINING TIMES ON MONDAY 5th. SEPTEMBER.

Our first show next season will be on Thursday 13th October 2016 again at Sarisbury Green, Social Club and our annual dinner show will be held at Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 11th November 2016.  As ever we will be competing against the Royal Navy team and expect to have another cracking evening of boxing.  We also have plans to hold some competitions in the Gym once the improvement works have been completed.  We hope to see you all at one or better still at all of our shows in 2016.

Exciting News about our Gym Improvements and Extension. Work continues on this important project and we are driving our contractors to complete the project as soon as possible. As you have all seen this work has not affectedthe deliveryof our training. And don't forget our BOXFIT classes every Tuesday evening.
